Abstract
Recently, UNESCO (2022) has called to reimagine our futures together and build a new social contract for education. This contract aims, on one hand, to navigate the disruptions that threaten not only the future of work and democracy but the planet itself and, on the other hand, to build an equitable future. The required social transformation involves transforming education—keeping what works, abandoning strategies that are no longer relevant, and moving toward innovation. This shift implies redefining roles, reclaiming humanism and its trust in human potential, and promoting collaborative and solidary pedagogies, dialogue, and participation. In this regard, the use of a learning case is reported in the subject "Design and Financing of Educational Programs and Projects," taken by 5th-semester students of the Bachelor's degree in Educational Projects at a state public university. The results confirm that it remains a valid teaching-learning method with potential for comprehensive and integrative training, fostering participation, dialogue, and links with other disciplines and sectors of society.
